Launched in 1973, the Grand Pavois became one major event for the boating industry. The number of exhibitors has been multiplied by 20 and the visitors by 30, and reached 110,000 in 2011. The Grand Pavois became the biggest europeen on water boat show. 100,000 square meters (45,000 square meters afloat), 13 theme spaces, 700 boats with 300 displayed in-water and more than 860 exhibitors representing 35 countries.
