Sail Lanka Yachting Group consists of different companies and has built experience in manufacturing and chartering of boats as well as the development of infrastructure. All three elements (manufacturing, chartering and infrastructure development) are of key importance for the development of a yachting industry in Sri Lanka. The group gathers Solar Impulse (specialised in mechanical and electrical engineering, boat building, sail making, ...), BAFF Polymech Pvt Ltd (boatyards), Sabrosa-Rain Advanced technologies and Sail Lanka chartering. Next to these companies the group also consists of a training centre (Ruhunu Sailing Association), where Sri Lankan underprivileged youths can receive training and education to prepare them for jobs in the sailing industry.
